Nine teams to vie for title in inaugural edition

Qingdao: The budding stars of East Asia have gathered in the Shandong province to compete in the inaugural EAFF U15 Men’s Championship 2023.

Nine teams will challenge each other between September 1-8 for the opportunity to be the first to put their hands on the trophy.

#U17WAC Qualifiers Round 1: Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Australia and India booked their places in Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers with wins over Chinese Taipei and Myanmar respectively on Friday.

Australia’s 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei confirmed them as the Group B winners while India edged Myanmar 2-1 to top Group F with the two joining Vietnam (Group C) and the Philippines (Group G) in advancing from Round 1.

Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, meanwhile, registered wins to set up winner-takes-all meetings in Groups A, D and E respectively while Nepal breathed life into their Group H campaign with victory over Jordan.

#U17WAC Qualifiers Round 1: Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Vietnam and Philippines booked their places in Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers with resounding wins on Wednesday.

Vietnam defeated Uzbekistan 3-0 to top Group C with two wins while Philippines finished with a perfect record as well after beating Lebanon 2-0 in Group G. 

Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Bangladesh, meanwhile, opened their Groups A, B and C campaigns with wins over Northern Mariana Islands, Mongolia and Turkmenistan respectively. There were opening victories for Korea Republic, India and Islamic Republic of Iran as well in Groups E, F and H respectively.

Uzbekistan 2024 Qualifiers - Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Chinese Taipei, Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, Myanmar and Nepal have joined Australia, China PR and Vietnam in advancing from Round 1 of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2024 Qualifiers.

The eight group winners progress to Round 2, where the four best sides will earn a spot in the Finals alongside the three highest seeds from the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 - champions Japan, DPR Korea and Korea Republic - and host nation Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan 2024 Qualifiers - Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Australia and China PR booked their places in the next stage following the conclusion of Friday's matches of Round 1 of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2024 Qualifiers.

Round 1 features a total 28 teams with the eight group winners to progress to Round 2, where the four best sides will earn a spot in the Finals where they will join the three highest seeds from the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 - champions Japan, DPR Korea and Korea Republic - and host nation Uzbekistan. 
 
The remaining groups will be decided on Saturday and Sunday so stay updated with the-AFC.com.

Shaikh Salman reaffirms support to NMIFA

Kuala Lumpur: Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), met with Jerry Tan, President of the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association (NMIFA), today here in Malaysia's capital.

After their membership application was granted by the 30th AFC Congress in December 2020, NMIFA became the newest member of the AFC and the Asian football family, bringing the AFC's membership to a total of 47, distributed over the vast Continent.
 
However, even before NMIFA was given full membership, they were working closely with the AFC as an Associate Member to improve the standards of football on the islands under the leadership of President Jerry Tan, which the AFC President emphasised.

Qualifiers - Group G: Australia 3-1 China PR; Cambodia 4-0 Northern Mariana Islands

Shepparton: Australia confirmed their place in the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ 2023 Finals with a 3-1 win over China PR in Group G of the Qualifiers on Sunday.

The win meant Australia ended their qualifying campaign with a perfect record of nine points while China PR will have to wait to know their fate, with the six best second-placed teams to also advance to the Finals.

Cambodia, meanwhile, defeated Northern Mariana Islands 4-0 to end their campaign on a winning note.

Qualifiers - Group G: Northern Mariana Islands 0-11 China PR; Cambodia 0-10 Australia

Shepparton: Australia and China PR maintained their perfect starts to Group G of the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ 2023 Qualifiers on Friday.

Australia emphatically defeated Cambodia 10-0 while China PR recorded a resounding 11-0 win over Northern Mariana Islands with the two pacesetters to square off in the Group G decider on Sunday.

Shepparton: Australia and China PR kicked off their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ 2023 Qualifiers Group G campaigns in resounding fashion on Wednesday.

Hosts Australia defeated Northern Mariana Islands 23-0 while China beat  Cambodia 9-0.

Qualifiers - Group D: Jordan finish top of the class

Amman: Jordan confirmed their place in the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Finals after playing to a goalless draw with Chinese Taipei to finish top of Group D, while Syria finished second after defeating Turkmenistan 4-1 on Sunday. 

Jordan ended their campaign unbeaten with 10 points while Syria’s win means they are truly in the running to advance as one of the best five second-placed teams.

Qualifiers - Group D: Jordan defeat Syria; Chinese Taipei surge

Amman: Jordan edged Syria 2-1 to keep their winning streak going in Group D of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers, while Chinese Taipei were at their best to defeat Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) 9-0 on Friday.

Jordan stayed perfect with three wins from three matches to lead the standings on nine points, leaving Syria’s hopes in the balance.  

Chinese Taipei, meanwhile, pulled themselves back into the running for the sole automatic ticket to the Finals.

Qualifiers - Group D: Chinese Taipei revive hopes, Jordan cruise past Northern Mariana Islands

Amman: Chinese Taipei breathed life into their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers Group D campaign after beating Turkmenistan 1-0, while Jordan defeated Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) 16-0 on Wednesday. 

Wei Chih-Chuan scored in the second half to help Chinese Taipei claim their first win in the group. 

Jordan didn’t pull their punches against NMI as they secured three crucial points to overtake Syria at the top of the standings after two matches.
