Stage set for #ACLElite and #ACLTwo preliminary battles

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Champions League Elite™ (ACL Elite) and AFC Champions League Two™ (ACL Two) will mark their return to action with the Preliminary Stage for the 2025/26 season, which gets underway on August 12 (Tuesday).

Four teams will vie for the two available League Stage berths in the ACL Elite while six contenders will do likewise for three Group Stage berths in the ACL Two, as confirmed by the finalised slot allocations in June.

Ulsan appoint Shin Tae-yong as head coach

Ulsan: AFC Champions League winner Shin Tae-yong has been named the new head coach of Ulsan HD, the reigning K League 1 champions confirmed on Tuesday.

The 54-year-old, who has won the Asian title as both a player and coach, replaces Kim Pan-gon following the former Malaysia coach’s departure by mutual consent over the weekend.

Riyadh: Portuguese forward Joao Felix has signed a two-year deal with Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr Club, where he will join Cristiano Ronaldo, it was announced on Tuesday.

Felix, now 25, made a blockbuster move from Benfica to Atletico Madrid in 2019, and joins Al Nassr from English Premier League side Chelsea.
