AFC signs media rights deal with TV Start in Russia and CIS
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today announced TV Start as their new media partner in Russia and the CIS territories including Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia to broadcast the AFC’s major competitions from 2021 to 2024.
The media partnership includes AFC national team and club competitions, including but not limited to the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to Qatar Final Round, the AFC Asian Cup China 2023, as well as the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup from the 2021 season.

Tokyo: Globe-trotting Japan star Keisuke Honda admitted to "mistakes and failures" as he pitched up in Azerbaijan's league, but refused to give up on playing at the Tokyo Olympics.
The 34-year-old midfielder, who spent three-and-a-half years at Italian giants AC Milan, signed for Azerbaijani outfit Neftci until the end of the season on Monday, having been without a club since leaving Brazil's Botafogo in December.

Day: Tri-nation opportunity for Bangladesh players to shine
Dhaka: The Bangladesh national team has convened for a training camp ahead of a tri-nation football tournament to be hosted by Nepal, but head coach Jamie Day has his eyes fixed on the Asian Qualifiers.
The tri-nation tournament will see Bangladesh go up against Nepal and the Kyrgyz Republic U-23 team at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu from March 23 to 29.
Kuala Lumpur: Head coach Tan Cheng Hoe has named several fresh faces in the 28-man Malaysia squad for a training camp ahead of the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
Tan’s charges will assemble for their first centralised training camp in more than a year at Johor Darul Ta'zim's training centre on March 22-30.
The United Arab Emirates will host the remaining Asian Qualifiers Group G matches with Malaysia taking on the UAE on June 3, followed by Vietnam on June 11 and Thailand four days later.
