Jeddah: Thailand fought back from two goals down to force a 2-2 stalemate with Myanmar in their concluding AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group A tie on Tuesday.

The draw meant the sides finished on one point each with Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan advancing to the knockout stage from the group.

Jeddah: Asadbek Makhtumov’s solitary strike earned Tajikistan a 1-0 victory over Myanmar on Saturday as the Central Asian nation picked up a second win in a row to advance to the quarter-finals of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabi 2026™ and qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026.

Makhtumov struck in the 28th minute to give Tajikistan back-to-back wins after their opening 2-0 victory over Thailand on Tuesday, with their six points enough to be sure of a top two finish in Group A.

Suzhou: Vietnam booked their place in the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026™ quarter-finals after defeating Myanmar 2-1 at the Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Centre Pitch 8 on Thursday.

The win meant Vietnam finished second in Group A behind China PR, edging Thailand on goal difference after both sides ended with four points.

Jeddah: A dominant Saudi Arabia breezed 4-0 past Myanmar in their opening AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group A match at the King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium on Tuesday.

A first-half brace from Ali Makki and two penalties after the break gave the two-time winners a confidence booster before they face 1998 champions Thailand on Sunday while Myanmar will look to make amends against Tajikistan on the same day.
