Korea Republic, China PR share spoils

Suwon: A stoppage time Ji So-yun piledriver saw Korea Republic come from behind to hold China PR to a 2-2 stalemate in their 2025 (EAFF) E-1 Football Women’s Championship tie on Wednesday.

China PR led twice in the game but were denied maximum points at the very end by Ji's effort from distance.

The defending champions will next face Korea Republic on Sunday, while Chinese Taipei will be looking to rebound when they take on China PR.

Ryo Germain starred with four goals in the first half as Hajime Moriyasu’s defending champions made a strong statement.

The two-time winners meet China PR on Saturday, while Hong Kong, China will face an acid test when they face Korea Republic on Friday.
