AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ competition dates and venues confirmed
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ have confirmed that the upcoming edition of Asia’s flagship national team competition will be held from January 12 to February 10, 2024.
Asia’s top 24 nations will compete for the most prestigious prize in Asian football and, as part of efforts to engage with more fans than ever before, the 18th edition of the tournament will maximise the advantage of playing the opening game on a Friday and the final on a weekend.
Asian hopefuls set for challenging tests in friendlies
Kuala Lumpur: Four of Asia's six FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 representatives will test themselves in friendlies against quality opposition in the coming days.
While Philippines and Vietnam are involved in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024™ Asian Qualifiers Round 1, Australia, China PR, Japan and Korea Republic will each play two friendlies as they continue preparing for the July-August global showpiece.
