Uzbekistan see off Lithuania in Turkish Women’s Cup

Alanya: Uzbekistan made a winning start to their Turkish Women’s Cup campaign, defeating Lithuania 1-0 at the Gold City Sport Complex in Alanya on Wednesday.

A 66th minute header from Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva proved decisive in the clash between the Asian and European sides, sending Uzbekistan joint top of the table after the opening day of the six-team tournament.
