The regional championship, which serves as the ASEAN Zone Qualifiers for the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020, will see the top three teams advancing to the Finals next February.

The Qualifiers are divided into four zones, with the West Zone kicking off the action on Wednesday, before the 2019 AFF Futsal Championship, which will serve as qualification for the ASEAN Zone, starts on October 21.

The East Zone hopefuls will begin their campaign the next day, while the Central & South Zone commences on October 23. A total 31 teams will be bidding to qualify.

Bahrain finished as runners-up, ahead of United Arab Emirates on goal difference, with both on seven points, while Kuwait emerged group winners with nine points.

UAE, who came from behind to defeat Palestine 5-4 in Sunday's earlier match, will face Oman in the play-off on Tuesday to decide the West Zone's fifth team in the Finals, with Lebanon and Saudi Arabia having already confirmed their places from Group B.

Lebanon defeated Qatar 8-1 to end their qualifying campaign with a perfect record of three wins while Saudi Arabia advanced on goal difference after they played to a 4-4 draw with Oman, with both teams finishing on four points.

Oman still have a chance as they will play the third-placed team from Group A in the play-off on Tuesday to decide the West Zone's fifth side in Turkmenistan 2020.

Kuwait defeated 2018 semi-finalists Iraq 4-1 for their third consecutive win to all but seal their place in the Turkmenistan 2020 Finals while Bahrain were too strong for Palestine as the hosts also secured a 4-1.

The top two teams from Groups A and B will qualify for next February's Finals, while the respective third-placed finishers will meet in a play-off match to determine the final ticket from the West Zone.

Bahrain's 2-0 win not only ended Kuwait's three-match winning run but also put the hosts in pole position to seal the second automatic berth but the United Arab Emirates, who beat Iraq 3-2 at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Manama on Saturday, also have a chance.
