Al Ram: Bahrain beat Qatar 3-2 on Thursday to end their 2019 WAFF U-18 Championship campaign with a win as the fifth-place play-off served as a curtain raiser to Friday’s final between Iraq and United Arab Emirates.

Bahrain ended their week in Palestine with a win, scoring three second-half goals to finish the inaugural championship with a 3-2 success against Qatar at Faisal Al Husseini Stadium.
Having scored just once in over 225 minutes of football in the tournament, Bahrain netted three times in less than half an hour through Abdulrahman Mohamed, Ali Khalifa Al Doseri and Mubarak Habib to secure a parting victory.
Al Ram: Iraq and United Arab Emirates will contest the inaugural WAFF U-18 Championship final after both sides prevailed on penalties in Wednesday’s semi-finals at Faisal Al Husseini International Stadium.
Iraq sealed their place in the decider with a 4-2 shootout win after a 1-1 draw against Jordan, while UAE denied tournament hosts Palestine a final berth, winning 4-1 from the spot after a scoreless evening match.
Iraq and UAE will meet in Friday's decider having already crossed paths earlier in the tournament, with UAE winning last Saturday’s group stage meeting 4-2.
Al Ram: Jordan and United Arab Emirates became the first teams to secure places in the 2019 WAFF U-18 Championship, after both registered wins on the second day of group stage action in Palestine on Saturday.
A goal-laden final 15 minutes helped Jordan overcome Qatar 5-1 in the early match, before UAE joined Belal Al Laham’s side in the knockout stage with a 4-2 victory over Iraq.
