London: Ryo Miyaichi has gone on loan to his fourth club since joining English Premier League side Arsenal in January 2011, with the Japanese winger moving to Dutch side FC Twente for the remainder of the season.
Miyaichi's move to the Enschede-based club marks his second spell in the Dutch Eredivisie following a successful stint with Feyenoord, where he was named man-of-the match against Vitesse in the first of his 12 games for the Rotterdam giants.
The former Cerezo Osaka winger returned to Arsenal and joined the Gunners in their 2011/12 pre-season tour of Asia before being granted a work permit allowing his inclusion Arsene Wenger's squad for the UEFA Champions League.
After making his first team debut in a League Cup third round match against Shrewsbury Town and a handful of appearances for the Arsenal Reserves, Miyaichi spend the second half of the season on loan to Bolton Wanderers, where he was voted the fans' player of the month for February 2012.
In August that year Miyaichi moved to his third club on loan, linking up with Oman international keeper Ali Al Habsi at Wigan Athletic but the talented 21-year-old saw limited game time at the Latics with injury restricting him to just five appearances.
Miyaichi, who represented Japan at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, has made just two appearances for the senior national team, making his debut in a May 2012 friendly against Azerbaijan before coming on as a late substitute in a 4-0 defeat to Brazil.
But if Miyaichi can repeat of the impressive form he showed at Feyenoord (pictured left) while he is on loan at FC Twente then he might force himself into the reckoning of new Japan coach Javier Agguire, with the Mexican unafraid to wield the axe on the Samurai Blue's underperforming 2014 FIFA World Cup squad as he prepares a side to defend their continental crown at next year's AFC Asian Cup in Australia.
