Mongolian commentators benefit from Mentorship Programme
Ulaanbaatar: The first Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Communications Mentorship Programme in 2020 was successfully held online for commentators in Mongolia with the aim of enhancing the football broadcast in the country.
In collaboration with the Mongolian Football Federation (MFF), the workshop was conducted by Desmond Corkhill, who is the Head of Broadcast of the Malaysian Football League and a former commentator for ESPN Star, Bein Sports and Eurosport, over two days for two different groups of 12 participants.
Update on upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Asia
Kuala Lumpur: In light of the current COVID-19 situation in many countries, FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have jointly decided that the upcoming qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023, originally scheduled to take place during the international match windows in October and November 2020, will be rescheduled to 2021.
With the aim of protecting the health and safety of all participants, FIFA and the AFC will continue to work together to closely monitor the situation in the region and to identify new dates for the respective qualifying matches. Further details on the new dates for the next round of qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup 2023 will be announced in due course.

AFC signs rights deal with Saran Media International
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today announced that Saran Media International will be their new media partner in Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as Kazakhstan from 2021 to 2024.
Saran Media International’s exclusive deal covers the AFC’s major national team and club competitions, including but not limited to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Asian Qualifiers Final Round, the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup from the 2021 season, the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 and the AFC U23 Championship Finals in 2022 and 2024.
