London: Tottenham forward Son Heung-min will start four weeks of national service in Korea Republic this month.
Son returned to Asia recently after the Premier League was postponed because of the coronavirus and is in a two-week quarantine period.
With English football unlikely to return soon, the Korea Republic star will complete compulsory military service in his home country before returning to north London next month.

Kuala Lumpur: Qatar’s Almoez Ali, who broke the all-time AFC Asian Cup goalscoring record in 2019, is the latest star to voice his support and raise awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic alongside Persita Tangerang defender Tamirlan Kozubaev from Kyrgyz Republic and Suwon Samsung Bluewings midfielder Kim Min-woo of Korea Republic.
The trio join the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) family’s rallying call through the #BreakTheChain campaign, to encourage people from around the world to adopt and learn about the best practices to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAE FA) announced on Monday that Serbian Ivan Jovanović has been relieved of his position as the national team head coach.
The 57-year-old coach took charge of the UAE national team in late December, replacing Bert van Marwijk who was sacked after a disappointing performance by UAE in the 2019 Gulf Cup.
