Men's Group A: Indonesia 3-0 Philippines; Cambodia 4-0 Timor-Leste

Phnom Penh: Cambodia and Indonesia kicked off their 2023 Cambodia Sea Games men's football Group A campaigns with wins over Timor-Leste and the Philippines respectively. 

Cambodia, aiming to shine on home soil, defeated Timor-Leste 4-0 while Indonesia struck late in both halves to beat the Philippines 3-0.

#U17WAC Qualifiers Round 1: Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Australia and India booked their places in Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers with wins over Chinese Taipei and Myanmar respectively on Friday.

Australia’s 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei confirmed them as the Group B winners while India edged Myanmar 2-1 to top Group F with the two joining Vietnam (Group C) and the Philippines (Group G) in advancing from Round 1.

Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, meanwhile, registered wins to set up winner-takes-all meetings in Groups A, D and E respectively while Nepal breathed life into their Group H campaign with victory over Jordan.

Yamashita leads first all-woman referee team in J-League

Tokyo: Trailblazing Japanese referee Yoshimi Yamashita made more history on Saturday as part of the first all-woman team of officials to take charge of a first-division game in the men's J-League.

Yamashita took the whistle for defending champions Yokohama F. Marinos' match against Nagoya Grampus, flanked by assistants Makoto Bozono and Naomi Teshirogi.
