Group B: Tajikistan advance with a flourish

Kuwait City: Tajikistan overcame a resilient Turkmenistan 8-5 to confirm their place in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 quarter-finals as Group B runners-up on Saturday. 

Through to the knockout stage for the first time in 15 years, Tajikistan will face Group A winners Thailand in the quarter-finals.

Group B: Uzbekistan stay perfect

Kuwait City: Uzbekistan defeated Bahrain 6-1 to finish their AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 Group B campaign with a perfect record of three wins on Saturday.

Uzbekistan, who had secured their knockout stage spot prior to the match, hardly put a foot wrong against Bahrain and will now face hosts Kuwait in the quarter-finals.

Group A: Thailand saunter into quarter-finals

Kuwait City: Thailand booked their place in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 quarter-finals after defeating Oman 6-1 in their concluding Group A tie on Saturday.

With Kuwait playing to a 2-2 draw with Iraq in the later match, Thailand finished as the Group A winners and will face Tajikistan in the quarter-finals.
