Thailand are still in the running for the knockout stage, as are Vietnam and Myanmar, who face off in the other tie. The top two sides from each group gain automatic qualification while the two best third-placed teams from the three groups will also advance.

Suzhou: DPR Korea cruised into the quarter-finals of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026™ on Tuesday as Ji Yun Nam’s side defeated the Philippines 8-0 to sit in pole position in Group C after the opening two rounds.

The win moves DPR Korea onto six points from their first two matches and ensures the nation will advance to the next round no matter the result in their remaining group phase fixture against Korea Republic on Friday.

Suzhou: Japan defeated a spirited India 3-0 to book their AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026™ quarter-final spot on Tuesday.

The four-time champions found their scoring boots in the second half at the Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Centre Pitch 4 to make it two wins out of two to advance from Group B with a match to spare as India suffered a second successive defeat.

Japan face Australia next while India will meet Lebanon, with the latter three sides all still in the running to advance.

Suzhou: Korea Republic advanced to the knockout stage of the AFC Women’s U17 Asian Cup China 2026™ after a comprehensive 4-0 win over Chinese Taipei on Tuesday.

Lim Ji-hye, Kim Min-seo and Kim Hee-na were on target after Chen You-yu’s 36th minute own goal had given Korea Republic the lead and the result moves Lee Da-young’s team onto six points from their opening two matches.
