Qualifiers Round 2: Australia first to qualify from Group B
Hanoi: Australia booked their place in the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 after defeating Vietnam 2-1 in their Qualifiers Round 2 tie at the National Youth Football Training Centre on Friday.
There's still a game against Bangladesh remaining but with six points, Australia have assured themselves a place among the top two in Group B.
As for Vietnam, they are still in the hunt for a place in the Finals and face a direct fight with their next opponents Philippines, who put themselves back into contention after a 3-1 win over Bangladesh earlier on Friday.

Buriram: Korea Republic and Thailand booked their places in the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Finals with a match to spare on Thursday.
Korea Republic defeated Islamic Republic of Iran 8-0 while Thailand beat India 4-0 with the two to meet on Saturday to decide the Qualifiers Group A winners.
They join the three highest-seeded sides from the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 – current holders Japan, DPR Korea and China PR - and hosts Indonesia in the Finals with two more teams to be decided from Group B which is being played in Hanoi.
