Group C: India 1-3 Chinese Taipei

Sydney: Chinese Taipei advanced to the quarter-finals of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ after defeating India 3-1 in Group C at the Western Sydney Stadium on Tuesday.

The victory means the East Asians finish in second place behind Japan and will face defending champions China PR in their last eight tie on Saturday.

Perth: Japan cruised to the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ Group C top spot with an impressive 4-0 win against Vietnam at the Perth Rectangular Stadium on Tuesday.

The two-time winners finished with nine points and will meet the Philippines next while defeat meant Vietnam missed out on a place in the quarter-finals.

Perth: Nilufar Kudratova emerged the star in Uzbekistan sealing AFC AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ quarter-final qualification on Monday, with the midfielder striking the all important goal in the 4-0 win against Bangladesh. 

Her strike - which came in the 88th minute - meant Uzbekistan had the four goals they needed to be assured of advancing as one of the two best third-placed teams with the 28-year-old crediting the team’s strong mentality for meeting their target.
