The result meant Qatar finished third in Group A with two points, with Italy top and South Africa second.

Doha: United Arab Emirates bid farewell to the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 after suffering a 5-0 defeat to Senegal in their concluding Group C tie on Sunday.

UAE finished bottom of the group with a single point. Senegal and Croatia and Senegal ended tied on seven points, with the African side taking the top spot on goal difference.

Costa Rica also garnered a single point but finished third on superior goal difference.

Japan finished top with seven points, one ahead of Portugal. Morocco kept their hopes of advancing as one of the best third-placed teams with a tournament record 16-0 win against New Caledonia.

DPR Korea set sights on defending crown

Rabat: DPR Korea have set their focus on doing it again next year after cruising to the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2025 title on Saturday.

The 3-0 win against the Netherlands in the final was the icing on the cake for a perfect campaign, with DPR Korea lifting the trophy with a perfect seven wins, scoring a tournament-record 25 goals and conceding just three.

The victory extended DPR Korea's record number of triumphs to four as they joined Spain as the only sides to have won back-to-back titles.
