Sosnowiec: China PR's FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Poland 2026 campaign came to a heartbreaking end after losing 5-4 on penalties to Italy following a 1-1 draw in their Round of 16 tie on Wednesday.

China PR kept pace through the opening four kicks, but their fifth penalty sailed over the crossbar as Italy advanced to the quarter-finals.

Sosnowiec: Beom Ye-ju was the hero as Korea Republic upset the odds to defeat Argentina 1-0 on Wednesday to book their place in the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026 for the first time since 2014.

Korea Republic will now face either Italy or China PR in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

Abu Dhabi: Christian Benteke fired a 97th-minute winner as Al Wahda FC roared with a strong second half display to beat 10-men Kuwait SC 3-2 in their AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ Group A fixture on Wednesday.

Taha Khenissi and Oumar Gonzalez put Kuwait SC two up within the first eight minutes before Moussa Diarra pulled one back in the 23rd minute for the UAE side, with Renne Rivas equalising three minutes before the end and Benteke finishing the job.

Neither side was able to find a way through at the Bahrain National Stadium as the teams kicked off their campaign, which will also see them take on Al Wahda from the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait SC during the group phase.
