Qualifiers - Group H: Indonesia 0-0 Malaysia; Australia 2-0 Laos

Vientiane: Defending champions Australia kicked off their AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ Qualifiers Group H campaign with a 2-0 win against Laos on Monday.

Indonesia and Malaysia played to a goalless draw in the earlier match.

Uzbekistan 2027 hopefuls discover qualification path

Kuala Lumpur: Teams aiming to vie for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027™ title discovered their Qualifiers challenge following the Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 35 teams were divided into seven groups of five to contest a single round-robin centralised league for the qualifying rounds that run from November 8 to 20, 2026.

The seven group winners will join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026 who have automatically qualified - Australia, China PR, Japan (defending champions), Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam - in the Finals.

Qarshi: Royal Thimphu College FC bid farewell to the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ with a 5-0 win against Master FC on Sunday.

The win meant Royal Thimphu ended their Preliminary Stage Group C campaign with four points, with Master FC completing theirs with three defeats.

Qarshi: Banaat FC kept their progression hopes alive after securing a 9-0 win against Master FC in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage match on Thursday.

The United Arab Emirates side, however, know there’s still much to do as they will take on Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf on Sunday to determine who tops Group C and advances to the group stage.

Qarshi: Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf were at their best as they cruised 11-0 past Master FC of Laos in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage tie on Monday.

Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva starred with a hat-trick as Nasaf opened their Group C campaign in style ahead of their clash against Bhutan’s Royal Thimphu College on Thursday, while Master will be hoping for a change in fortunes when they face Banaat FC of United Arab Emirates.

Capas: Thailand maintained their perfect record in Group B of the ASEAN Championship 2026 on Tuesday as Waris Choolthong’s late header earned the former champions a 1-0 win over the Philippines that keeps Anthony Hudson’s side on top of the standings.

Hudson made eight changes to the team that won the previous outing against Malaysia and the Thais had to wait until four minutes from time to claim the three points when Waris powered Picha Autra’s cross from the left past Patrick Deyto.

Bangkok: Thailand moved into pole position in Group B of the ASEAN Championship on Saturday as Anthony Hudson’s side handed Malaysia a 2-0 defeat at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.

Yotsakon Burapha’s penalty gave the seven-times champions the lead in the 38th minute and Teerasak Poeiphimai doubled the advantage 11 minutes into the second half as Thailand followed up their opening win over Laos with a second victory.

Group B: Malaysia march on; Myanmar bounce back

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia handed Laos a 4-0 defeat in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday as Tan Cheng Hoe’s side completed consecutive victories in Group B of the ASEAN Championship 2026 while Myanmar bounced back from their opening day loss to win 4-1 against the Philippines.

Paulo Josue scored for the second game in a row after a double in the win over Myanmar on Saturday to send the Malaysians on their way to victory with Endrick also on target before an own goal by Viengxay Sidavong and a fine free-kick by substitute Wan Kuzain.

Malaysia lead the standings with six points from their opening two matches and will face second-placed Thailand, who did not play on Tuesday, on Saturday while Laos will take on the Philippines.
