Group B: Qatar, UAE book last four tickets

Jeddah: Qatar and the United Arab Emirates confirmed their spots in the Gulf Cup 2026 semi-finals after securing their second straight victories in Group B on Sunday.

Qatar defeated Yemen 1-0 while UAE were 3-0 winners against Bahrain with both on six points and meet on Wednesday to decide who tops the group.

Jeddah: United Arab Emirates made a flying start to their Gulf Cup 2026 campaign with an emphatic 4-0 win over Yemen in their Group B opener on Thursday.

Riffa: Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf kept hosts Al Khaldiya SC at bay to claim a 0-0 draw to secure a share of the points from their opening Group A match in the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ on Wednesday.

Neither side was able to find a way through at the Bahrain National Stadium as the teams kicked off their campaign, which will also see them take on Al Wahda from the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait SC during the group phase.

Arkadag: FC Arkadag marked their AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ campaign with a 1-0 win over Al Muharraq SC in their Group B opener on Tuesday.

Mekan Saparow’s 52nd minute header proved the difference as the Turmenistan side held firm against late pressure from Al Muharraq to secure all three points.

Kuala Lumpur: The pathway to AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ glory was revealed following the Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 12 teams, led by defending champions Islamic Republic of Iran, were divided into three groups.

Isa Town: Afghanistan put on a spirited performance to beat Bahrain 3-1 to sign off on their Group D campaign at the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ Qualifiers on Sunday. 

The result earned Kourosh Barmak’s side their first win, ahead of Bahrain on goal difference and three points adrift of table-toppers Tajikistan, who were made to slog for a 1-0 win over Jordan in the earlier match.

Isa Town: Jordan scored in the dying seconds to beat Bahrain 2-1 and claim their second Group D win at the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ Qualifiers on Thursday.

Saoud Abu Zaid’s injury-time goal put Ibrahim Jaber’s side three points clear at the top and primed to make their fifth consecutive final.

Tajikistan defeated Afghanistan 4-1 in the earlier meeting and will take on Jordan on Sunday while Bahrain will aim for victory against Afghanistan, with only the group winners assured of advancing automatically.

Uzbekistan 2027 hopefuls discover qualification path

Kuala Lumpur: Teams aiming to vie for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027™ title discovered their Qualifiers challenge following the Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 35 teams were divided into seven groups of five to contest a single round-robin centralised league for the qualifying rounds that run from November 8 to 20, 2026.

The seven group winners will join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026 who have automatically qualified - Australia, China PR, Japan (defending champions), Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam - in the Finals.
