Hohhot: Thanatorn Santanaprasit praised his players’ grit after Thailand overwhelmed Japan 3-1 in their final AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Group C tie on Sunday to book their place in the knockout stage.

Indonesia, meanwhile, will eye a strong knockout stage showing after a morale-boosting win over Bahrain helped propel them to advance as one of the two best third-placed teams.

Thailand will face Hong Kong, China, who qualified as one of the two best third-placed teams after seeing off the Philippines 7-3.

Hohhot: Indonesia booked their place in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 quarter-finals after defeating Bahrain 5-1 in Group C at the Hohhot Sports Centre on Sunday.

The win confirms Indonesia will advance as one of the two best third-placed teams, but they can move up to second place in the standings if Japan beat Thailand by a high goal margin.

Hohhot: The final round of matches in Group C will see three of the four teams still in with a chance to advance to the quarter-finals of the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025.

Japan have sealed their place in the next round after withstanding a second-half barrage from Bahrain to edge their encounter 3-2 on Matchday 2, which took them to six points. 

Thailand were held by Indonesia 0-0 and need one more point to finish in the top two when they face Japan, while Bahrain know that anything less than victory against Indonesia will result in their elimination.

Hohhot:  Japan narrowly held on for a 3-2 win over Bahrain on Friday in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 for a second straight victory in Group C.

A dominant first-half performance looked to have put them in cruise control, but the two-time runners-up were rocked by a spirited fight-back from Bahrain after the break at the Hohhot Sports Centre.

Kuala Lumpur: The 33 hopefuls learned their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ Qualifiers 2026 opponents following the official draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday.

The teams were divided into seven groups of four teams and one group of five with the Qualifiers to be played on August 2-10.

The teams will be vying for 11 tickets to the Finals, to be hosted by Thailand on April 1-18 next year. The eight group winners and three  best runners-up will advance.
