Hamdallah sets sights on title after Al Taawoun progress

Buraidah: Abderrazak Hamdallah set his sights on the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ title after his brace steered Al Taawoun FC to a 3-1 win over Jordan’s Al Faisaly and into the Round of 16 on Wednesday.

The result took the Saudi Arabian side to 10 points from four matches, with Hamdallah eager to build on the club’s run to the semi-finals in the 2024/25 edition.

Buraidah: Abderrazak Hamdallah struck a brace to steer Al Taawoun FC to a 3-1 win over Jordan’s Al Faisaly on Wednesday and a place in the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ Round of 16.

The Saudi Arabian side’s third Group C win left them with 10 points from four fixtures as Al Faisaly suffered a third defeat.

Amman: Kingsley Kuku’s brace confirmed Al Shorta’s ticket to the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ knockout stage as the Iraq side defeated Al Hussein 3-0 on Tuesday.

The win took Al Shorta five points clear at the top of Group D, with a top-two finish assured irrespective of the results of the remaining two matchdays.

Amman: Second half goals propelled Al Taawoun FC to a 2-0 win against Al Faisaly in their AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ Group C match on Wednesday.

It was the second win for the Saudi Pro League side as they stayed top of the standings on seven points, four clear of Jordan’s Al Faisaly.

Baghdad: Al Shorta needed a stoppage time penalty to salvage a 1-1 draw against Al Hussein in their AFC Champions League Two™  Group D tie on Tuesday.

Abdallah Nasib had given Al Hussein a first half lead before Al Shorta clawed their way back with Criantian Barco sending Mahmoud Al Kawamleh the wrong way from the penalty spot to earn the Iraqi side a vital point.

Amman: Al Faisaly scored once in each half to claim a 2-0 win against Al Nahda Club in their AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ Group C tie on Wednesday.

The win helps the Jordanian side breathe new life into their campaign, having lost 4-3 to Qatar’s Al Rayyan SC on Matchday One with Al Nahda of Oman two points adrift of the pair.

Seeb: Aref Al Haj’s hat-trick steered Al Hussein to an impressive 3-0 win over Oman’s Al Seeb Club in their AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ tie at the Al Seeb Stadium on Tuesday.

The striker netted through a textbook free-kick in the first half and added two well-executed goals after the break to give the Jordan side their first win and place them second in Group D behind Iraq’s Al Shorta.
