Groups finalised for #AFCU23 Qatar 2024 Qualifiers

Kuala Lumpur: The draw for the AFC U23 Asian Cup™ Qatar 2024 Qualifiers was finalised at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The hopefuls were divided into 11 groups – 10 groups of four teams each, with the last group containing three. Qatar, meanwhile, will play in the Qualifiers for exposure with their matches classified as friendlies.

Doha: The stage is set for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ following the Official Draw at the Katara Opera House in Doha on Thursday.

The continental showpiece, scheduled for January 12 to February 10, 2024 promises to be a thrilling affair with seven former winners among the 24 teams - seeded in accordance with the latest FIFA World Ranking - divided into six groups.

#U17WAC - Round 2 Qualifiers Finalised

Kuala Lumpur: The cast for Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers was finalised on Sunday with four more teams confirming their spots.

Thailand, Bangladesh, Korea Republic and Islamic Republic of Iran booked their places as Round 1 of the Qualifiers concluded. 

They join Group B winners Australia, Vietnam (Group C), India (Group F) and the Philippines (Group G) who had booked their Round 2 spots earlier.

#U17WAC Qualifiers Round 1: Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Australia and India booked their places in Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers with wins over Chinese Taipei and Myanmar respectively on Friday.

Australia’s 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei confirmed them as the Group B winners while India edged Myanmar 2-1 to top Group F with the two joining Vietnam (Group C) and the Philippines (Group G) in advancing from Round 1.

Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, meanwhile, registered wins to set up winner-takes-all meetings in Groups A, D and E respectively while Nepal breathed life into their Group H campaign with victory over Jordan.

Qualifiers Group A: Uzbekistan advance in emphatic fashion

Tashkent: Uzbekistan defeated Jordan 7-0 to top Group A of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Round 1 on Tuesday.

The win meant Uzbekistan concluded their campaign with a perfect record of three wins as they booked their place in Round 2 of the Qualifiers..
 
Bhutan, meanwhile, finished second after a 3-1 win over Timor-Leste.

Qualifiers Group A: Timor Leste 0-3 Uzbekistan; Bhutan 2-1 Jordan

Tashkent: Uzbekistan took a huge step towards advancing to Round 2 of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024™ Asian Qualifiers with a 3-0 win over Timor-Leste on Saturday.

The Central Asian side will qualify if they avoid defeat against Bhutan, who stunned Jordan 2-1 in Group A's other match on Saturday.

Tashkent: Uzbekistan and Jordan kicked off their Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024™ Asian Qualifiers Round 1 Group A campaigns with impressive wins on Wednesday.

Hosts Uzbekistan defeated Bhutan 9-0 while Jordan were also untroubled in their 3-1 win over Timor-Leste.

IR Iran, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait claim victories

Kuala Lumpur: Islamic Republic of Iran defeated Kenya 2-1, while United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait also registered wins in Wednesday’s international friendlies.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile fell to a 2-1 defeat against Bolivia, while Uzbekistan played to a 1-1 stalemate against Venezuela. India defeated Kyrgyz Republic to finish top of a three-nation tournament.
