AFC Dream Asia Foundation Board of Trustees approves milestone social responsibility programmes

Nagoya: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dream Asia Foundation’s Board of Trustees (BoT) reaffirmed its dedication to expanding the Confederation’s social development efforts after approving four landmark initiatives during its fifth meeting today in Nagoya, Japan.

Under the guidance of Chairperson HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, the programmes will channel football infrastructure and funding directly into vulnerable communities. Two projects utilise the mandatory five percent (5%) social responsibility allocation from the AFC Champions League Elite™ and AFC Champions League Two™ prize funds earned by clubs in Japan and the United Arab Emirates, while the other two address urgent regional disaster recovery in Myanmar and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Inclusivity at heart of #GoalsForGood campaign in Indonesia

Jakarta: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dream Asia Foundation (ADAF) has taken another step towards driving positive change in society by joining hands with Indonesia’s ASA Foundation to launch Goals for Good in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Introduced on August 8, the 12-month programme commenced with a Foundations of Inclusive Football Training of Trainers workshop at BINUS School Serpong in Greater Jakarta in the presence of more than 100 teachers and coaches, with the aim of laying the foundations for safe and secure environments for children across the Southeast Asian nation to nurture a love for the beautiful game.
