Cirelli proud of Yangon’s display

Yangon: Marcelo Cirelli was a delighted head coach after guiding Yangon United FC side to a 2-1 win against Ezra FC in the AFC Challenge League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage on Tuesday.

The Argentine tactician believed the added motivation of playing in front of their own fans at Thuwunna Stadium helped the Myanmar side overcome their Laos counterparts.

Yangon: Myanmar’s Yangon United FC staved off a late Ezra FC fightback to pick up a 2-1 win in their AFC Challenge League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage match on Tuesday.

The win sees Yangon joining Indonesia’s Borneo FC Samarinda, One Taguig FC of the Philippines and Chinese Taipei’s Tainan City FC in Group C.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirms that the AFC Challenge League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage match between Kasuka FC (BRU) and Karketu Dili FC (TLS), originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, has been postponed.

The match has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 15, 2026 and will kick off at 20:15 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.
