Doha: Chiangrai United's Bill has been voted by the fans as the 2020 AFC Champions League (East) Toyota Player of the Week after the striker's exceptional performance against FC Seoul last Friday.

The Brazilian striker's double saw the Thai side defeat their Korean opponents with his two goals coming from three shots on target, while he also made 26 passes for his 8.2 rating.

Doha: Head coach Fabio Cannavaro’s Guangzhou Evergrande will take confidence from their 2-0 win against Vissel Kobe; a result that boosted their chances of a place in the 2020 AFC Champions League Round of 16.

Anderson Talisca gave them the lead with a penalty, with Ai Kesen then perfectly placing a free-kick to double the Chinese Super League side’s advantage in the first half. They held on to see off the game with their first win in eight attempts in the competition.

Beijing’s Génésio vows to keep foot on the floor after sealing AFC Champions League knockout place

Doha: They are the clear leaders of Group E and one of the form teams of the competition, but Beijing FC head coach Bruno Génésio has pledged to keep piling up the wins after his side secured their progression to the 2020 AFC Champions League Round of 16 on Friday.

The Chinese side booked their place in the knockout stage two games early, accounting for Australia’s Melbourne Victory for the second time in four days with Jonathan Viera and Zhang Yuning scoring in a commanding 2-0 win at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Led by outstanding captain Renato Augusto, but with an even contribution from players all over the pitch, Beijing are increasingly being viewed as a potential ACL finalist, but Génésio remains focused on more immediate concerns, saying he simply wants to keep winning matches.

 Doha: Ulsan Hyundai FC head coach Kim Do-hoon was elated as his side put themselves in the driving seat in the race for Round of 16 qualification from Group F of the 2020 AFC Champions League with a 2-0 win against Perth Glory.
