MD2: Shanghai Shenhua FC (CHN) 1-1 Ulsan HD FC (KOR)

Shanghai: Ulsan HD missed out on a second straight win in the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 on Wednesday as Gustav Ludwigson scored in the second half to earn Shin Tae-yong’s side a 1-1 draw with hosts Shanghai Shenhua.

Luis Asue had put the home side in front three minutes into the second half before Ludwigson levelled in the 62nd minute to move Ulsan onto four points from their first two games in the competition.

 

The point earned was Shenhua’s first in the competition after suffering a 2-1 loss to Gangwon FC on Matchday 1 and lifted the Chinese Super League side off the bottom of the standings.

Kobe: Koya Yuruki scored three minutes into injury time to earn Vissel Kobe a 1-0 victory over Melbourne City at Misaki Park Stadium on Wednesday as the J1 League champions claimed a second consecutive win the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26.

Yuruki struck deep into injury time to complete a barely deserved win for the home side, who move onto six points from their opening two matches while Melbourne City remain pointless.

Iskandar Puteri: Go Kuroda and Xisco Munoz both viewed the goalless stalemate between Johor Darul Ta’zim FC and FC Machida Zelvia in their AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 tie on Tuesday as a point earned rather than two dropped.

The sides produced a total of 25 shots between them, showing their attacking intentions but were let down by a lack of quality, with Machida’s Yuki Soma also missing a 23rd minute penalty.
