MD3: Shanghai Shenhua FC (CHN) 2-0 FC Seoul (KOR)

Shanghai: Second half goals from Luis Asue and Andres Luis led Shanghai Shenhua to their first win of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 on Wednesday as Leonid Slustky’s side handed FC Seoul a 2-0 defeat at Shanghai Stadium.

Asue’s 57th minute header put Shenhua ahead and Luis sealed the win in the 89th minute, the pair earning their side a victory that takes the Chinese Super League outfit onto four points from three games and level with Kim Gi-dong’s team.

MD3: Gangwon FC (KOR) 4-3 Vissel Kobe (JPN)

Chuncheon: Kim Gun-hee scored deep into injury time to earn Gangwon FC a dramatic 4-3 win over Vissel Kobe in Chuncheon in the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 on Wednesday, the K League 1 side securing victory after allowing a three-goal lead to slip.

Kim thumped the ball into the roof of the net five minutes into stoppage time after Taisei Miyashiro had inspired Kobe to make a second half comeback, the Japan international scoring twice as his side pulled level only to succumb late in added time.
 
Goals from Lee Sang-heon, Mo Jae-hyeon and Song Jun-seok had given Gangwon a three-goal lead at the interval but Miyashiro’s introduction at the start of the second half swung the game in Kobe’s favour.
 
He pulled one back three minutes after the restart and Jean Patrick added a second two minutes later, with Miyashiro equalising with little more than a minute to play. But Kim scored the winner six minutes later to break Kobe hearts.

Melbourne: Max Caputo expressed delight after his dramatic stoppage-time winner handed Melbourne City a come from behind 2-1 win over Buriram United in their AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 tie on Tuesday.

Buriram looked set to claim the points when Goran Causic put the Thai League 1 champions ahead in the 72nd minute with a clinical finish, only for City to respond late with Elbasan Rashani restoring parity in the 84th minute.
