Chengdu: Chengdu Rongcheng secured their place in the League Stage of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 on Tuesday with Seo Jung-won’s hosts scoring twice in three second half minutes on their way to a 3-0 win over Bangkok United in their preliminary stage showdown.

Yang Mingyang and Felipe netted in the 68th and 71st minutes respectively to break the Thai League 1 side’s resistance before the Brazilian forward added a late third to take the Chinese Super League side into the group phase for the first time in the club’s history.

Chengdu head coach Seo, who won the Asian Club Championship twice as a player with Suwon Samsung Bluewings, will join the 11 other clubs in the draw for the league phase of the competition in the eastern half of the draw, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

Kuala Lumpur: Expect no-holds barred clashes in the Preliminary Stage of the AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 on Wednesday.

Just three Group Stage spots remain up for grabs, setting the stage for fiery encounters in the cities of Bandung (Indonesia), Tursunzoda (Tajikistan) and Goa (India).

The three winning sides will advance to Friday's Group Stage Draw in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia while the losing teams will continue their bid for continental glory in the AFC Challenge League 2025/26.

Atai Dzhumashev struck both goals as Muras booked their spot in the Group Stage.

Yangon: Ezra FC of Laos had to go all the way to defeat Myanmar’s Yangon United 5-3 on penalties after their AFC Challenge League™ 2025/26 Preliminary Stage tie ended 1-1 after extra time on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Kop Lokphathip emerged the hero, saving David Htan’s penalty to send Ezra through to the group stage.

Ayvazov scored either side of the break with Sodmunkh Ankhbayar adding a late goal to seal Falcons’ passage into the Group Stage.
