Hat-trick hero McDaniel proud of Stallion’s drive

Yangon: Captain Chandler McDaniel led by example after the forward struck thrice in Stallion Laguna FC’s 6-1 win against Khovd Western FC in their AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2025/26 Preliminary Group A tie on Monday.

McDaniel got the ball rolling with the opener in the seventh minute, then converted a spot-kick four minutes later before capping a splendid performance with her third goal in the 90th minute with the result giving the team much belief going forward.

Melaka: Ami Takeuchi capped her AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2025/26 Preliminary Stage debut with a brace to give Lion City Sailors a 2 -0 win over Etihad Club of Jordan on Monday.

The 19-year-old struck twice in the first half to secure the three points for the Singapore side, giving them a perfect start in Group C ahead of their clash with Kelana United of Malaysia on Matchday Two.

Socceroo Marco Tilio signs for Rapid Wein

Vienna: Australia international winger Marco Tilio has joined Rapid Wein from Scottish Premiership side Celtic on a four-year contract, the Austrian club have confirmed.

The 24-year-old has signed for Rapid Wein after spending the last 18 months on loan at Melbourne City, where he played a key role in leading the club to their A-League Championship title win over Melbourne Victory in May.

Yangon: Stallion Laguna FC made a winning start to Group A of the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2025/26 Preliminary Stage on Monday with a 6-1 victory over Khovd Western FC from Mongolia in Yangon.

Chandler McDaniel scored a hat-trick and was influential throughout for Ernest Nierras’ side as the side from the Philippines cruised to the win at Thuwunna Stadium, joining ISPE WFC at the top of the early group standings with three points from their first match.
