Semi-final: Chelsea edge gritty Al Hilal

Abu Dhabi: AFC Champions League winners Al Hilal SFC were narrowly edged 1-0 by European champions Chelsea in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday.

Appearing in the competition for the second time in three years, Al Hilal reached the final four after defeating UAE champions and hosts Al Jazira 6-1 but faced a much sterner challenge in the UEFA Champions League winners.

Suzhou: AFC Women's Asian Cup India 2022™ champions China PR returned home on Monday following their amazing comeback win in the final at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

Down 2-0 at half-time, China PR produced a magnificent fightback to defeat Korea Republic 3-2 in an epic final.

Lion City Sailors get Lestienne boost ahead of AFC Champions League debut

Singapore: AFC Champions League newcomers Lion City Sailors of Singapore have announced the signing of Maxime Lestienne from Belgium side Standard Liege.

The Singapore Premier League champions were drawn in Group F of the 2022 AFC Champions League alongside China PR’s Shandong Taishan, two-time winners Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan and the winners of the playoff between Korea Republic’s Daegu FC and Buriram United of Thailand.
