Korea Republic fight back to hold Japan

Hwaseong: Korea Republic came  from behind to force a 1-1 draw with Japan in their 2025 (EAFF) E-1 Football Women’s Championship match on Sunday.

The result leaves Japan level on points with China PR, with the two to meet on Wednesday, while Korea Republic will be looking to defeat Chinese Taipei.

Late goals help China PR triumph in thriller

Hwaseong: A super Wang Yanwen strike helped China PR to a 4-2 win against Chinese Taipei in their 2025 (EAFF) E-1 Football Women’s Championship match on Sunday.

A game of two halves saw China PR dominate the first period to lead 2-0 but were pegged back by a resurgent Chinese Taipei in the second half before Wang’s intervention settled the enthralling contest.

Asian officials to take charge of FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Final

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s commitment towards establishing the highest officiating standards was once again underlined with the appointment of three Asian officials to Sunday’s FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Final.

Leading the cast will be Australia’s Alireza Faghani, who will be supported by compatriots Anton Shchetinin and Ashley Beecham, appointed as assistant referees to the grand finale, bringing the tournament full circle after the trio also took charge of the opening match between Egypt’s Al Ahly SC and the USA’s Inter Miami.
