CSL star Bassogog hospitalised with COVID-19

Shanghai: Christian Bassogog, who starred in Cameroon's Africa Cup of Nations triumph in 2017, became the second confirmed coronavirus case in the Chinese Super League on Friday.

The 24-year-old forward, who plays for Henan Jianye, is asymptomatic but is in hospital in Guangzhou, health authorities in the southern city said.

There is no health threat to the CSL, which started on July 25, because Bassogog has been in quarantine since arriving in China from Cameroon in mid-July.

Kladcharoen: Thailand aiming for title in Turkmenistan 2020

Bangkok: Suthiporn Kladcharoen believes Thailand can mount a serious title challenge in the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 in November.

The tournament will also serve as the final stage of FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifying, with the top five sides to represent Asia at Lithuania 2021.

AFC Cup ASEAN Zone Groups F and G to be played in Vietnam

Kuala Lumpur: The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has been confirmed as the host Member Association for the AFC Cup 2020 ASEAN Zone Groups F and G matches, which are scheduled to take place over three match days from September 23 to September 29, 2020.

The matches in Group F will take place at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City while the Group G ties will be staged in Quang Ninh’s Cam Pha Stadium.
