Dastan: IR Iran rewarded for hard work

Pattaya: Goalkeeper Seyedmohammad Dastan was pleased to see Islamic Republic of Iran reaping the rewards for their hard graft after the reigning champions sailed into the final of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025.

Dastan scored two sweetly struck volleys in a 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia in Saturday’s  semi-final and the 29-year-old Moghavemat Golsa Poosh player is bent on returning home with the winners’ medal.

S-final: Saudi Arabia 0-6 IR Iran

Pattaya: Islamic Republic of Iran stayed on course to retain their title after defeating Saudi Arabia 6-0 in their AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025 semi-final on Saturday.

Naderi Hossein’s side, seeking a  record-extending fourth title, will meet either Japan or Oman in the final and have also booked their ticket to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025.

Pattaya: Oman stunned Japan 3-2 in their AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025 semi-final on Saturday.

Oman, who confirmed their ticket to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025, will face three-time champions Islamic Republic of Iran in the final on Sunday.

Held on the eve of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025 Final, the Committee, led by Chairperson Mehdi Taj, congratulated Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Oman and Saudi Arabia on reaching the Semi-finals and praised The Football Association of Thailand – hosts of the AFC’s beach soccer flagship for a third consecutive time – for their exemplary display of Asian unity and exceptional hosting capabilities.

#AsianQualifiers – Indonesia's Romenij wins Best Goal of MD7 & 8 poll

Kuala Lumpur: Indonesia's Ole Romenij's strike against Bahrain has been voted as the best goal of MD7 & 8 in the third round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26.

Romenij scored the winner in the 24th minute after converting Marselino Ferdinan's layoff to claim a vital three points against Bahrain. The Oxford United forward garnered 76% of the votes.

#WAC2026 Qualifiers draw finalised

Kuala Lumpur: Teams hoping to earn passage discovered their opponents following the conclusion of the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026™ Qualifiers draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 34 sides were drawn into six groups of four teams and two groups of five, with the Qualifiers to be hosted by Cambodia, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

The eight group winners will join defending champions China PR, Korea Republic and Japan in the Finals, scheduled to be staged across three host cities from March 1 to 26, 2026.
