Proud Hossein hails IR Iran’s history makers

Pattaya: Naderi Hossein was beaming with pride after Islamic Republic of Iran rewrote the history books by retaining the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ title on Sunday.

Iran became the first four-time champions on top of a bit of personal history after their emphatic 8-1 win against Oman in the final as Hossein hailed the immense standard within the squad.

Furusato promises Japan will come back stronger

Pattaya: Takeru Furusato admitted to feeling a burden off his shoulders as Japan finished their AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™Thailand 2025 campaign with a 3-1 win over Saudi Arabia in the third-place playoff, which secured their place in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in May.

Furusato, who mostly played second fiddle to first-choice keeper Yusuke Kawai, also credited Saudi Arabia for keeping Japan on their toes until the final whistle.

Pattaya: Ali Mirshekari was named the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025’s Most Valuable Player after he helped Islamic Republic of Iran win the title with a commanding 8-1 win against Oman in the final on Sunday.

With 12 goals in the tournament, Mirshekari also bagged the Top Scorer award.

Pattaya: Seyedmahdi Mirjalili landed the Best Goalkeeper award after playing a huge role in helping Islamic Republic of Iran win the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025 on Sunday.

Continuing his excellence from 2013, Mirjalili’s goalkeeping qualities received the recognition they deserved, winning the award for the second straight edition.

It was a historic occasion for Iran as they not only emerged back-to-back champions for the first time but Sunday's triumph puts them ahead of Japan as the only four-time champions.

Pattaya: Japan held off a spirited Saudi Arabia to take third place in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025 with a 3-1 win in the playoff at the Jomtien Beach Arena on Sunday.

The victory meant Japan will be Asia’s third representatives at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025, with Islamic Republic and Oman having confirmed their spots earlier.
