Jeddah: Australia were at their clinical best to secure a 4-0 win against India in their opening AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ on Wednesday.

The win puts Australia in a comfortable position in the three-team Group C with India needing victory against Uzbekistan on Sunday to stay in contention for a knockout stage spot.

Jeddah: Tajikistan secured a hard-fought 2-0 win over Thailand in their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group A opener at the King Abdullah Sports City Pitch B on Tuesday.

Tajikistan will be aiming for another three points when they meet Myanmar on Sunday with Thailand facing hosts Saudi Arabia.

A first-half brace from Ali Makki and two penalties after the break gave the two-time winners a confidence booster before they face 1998 champions Thailand on Sunday while Myanmar will look to make amends against Tajikistan on the same day.

Jeddah: Keanu Senjaya struck in the 88th minute as Indonesia stunned a dominant China PR 1-0 in their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group B tie at King Abdullah Sports City Pitch A on Tuesday.

The win sets the 2025 quarter-finalists up nicely for Qatar on Sunday while China PR will have to rebound against Japan to revive their knockout stage hopes.
