Al Amrani delighted to have delivered for Oman

Jeddah: Oman’s Ahmed Al Amrani couldn’t have found a better time to net his first AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 goals.

His brace against the Islamic Republic of Iran in their Group D tie on Tuesday helped Oman beat the 2008 champions 3-2 to reignite their hopes of making the knockout stage.

Jeddah: Pak Kwang Song spared no effort to ensure DPR Korea kept their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 quarter-final dreams alive against Tajikistan on Tuesday.

The midfielder netted two goals in his side’s 3-0 win, a result which moved the two-time champions to the top of Group D with four points, one clear of Tajikistan and Oman, who defeated Islamic Republic of Iran 3-2 in the other match.

Jeddah: Oman came from behind twice to defeat Islamic Republic of Iran 3-2 in their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 Group D clash at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium on Tuesday.

Ahmed Al’Amrani emerged Oman’s hero, netting twice with the winner coming in the 89th minute to give his side their first three points, leaving Iran bottom of the group with a solitary point. 

Oman will still need a result in their final group game against DPR Korea to reach the knockout round and book a ticket at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, while Iran will meet Tajikistan, who fell to a 3-0 defeat against the East Asians in the earlier tie on Tuesday.

Jeddah: DPR Korea outplayed Tajikistan for a deserved 3-0 win in their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 tie at the King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium on Tuesday.

The result left Group D wide open, with the two-time champions now on four points while Tajikistan remained on three, with their matches on Friday against Oman and Islamic Republic of Iran respectively to determine the two teams going into the knockout stage.
