Qualifiers - Group A: Bangladesh 8-0 Brunei Darussalam; Bahrain 2-1 Sri Lanka; China PR 14-0 Timor-Leste

Chongqing: Bangladesh and China PR stayed perfect in Group A of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers with resounding wins on Monday.

Bangladesh defeated Brunei Darussalam 8-0 while China PR cruised 14-0 past Timor-Leste.

Bahrain, meanwhile, revived their hopes with a 2-1 win over Sri Lanka.

Kuala Lumpur: Matchday Two of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers came to a close after high octane action on Monday.

Only the seven group winners from the Qualifiers will progress and join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 that have already qualified: DPR Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

Chang proud as Wuhan Jiangda send title warning; Nasaf live up to Vladislav’s expectations

Wuhan: Wuhan Jiangda Women’s FC underlined their determination to defend the title with a dominant performance in Group B of the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2025/26, finishing top and sending a warning to their challengers. 

A 4-0 win against Islamic Republic of Iran’s Bam Khatoon FC on Sunday, which was achieved despite not being at full strength, showed the China PR side will be a team to avoid when the knockout stage draw is held in January.

Wuhan Jiangda topped the standings with seven points, three ahead of PFC Nasaf of Uzbekistan and India’s East Bengal FC.
