Qualifiers - Group C: Malaysia 2-1 Singapore; Macau 0-4 Vietnam; Hong Kong, China 4-0 Northern Mariana Islands

Hanoi: Malaysia and Vietnam will face off for the Group C top spot after registering their third consecutive wins in the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers on Friday.

Malaysia edged Singapore 2-1 while Vietnam defeated Macau 4-0, with the group hosts holding a superior goal difference going into Sunday’s showdown.

Hong Kong, China defeated Northern Mariana Islands in the group’s other match.

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers are set for a grandstand finish after an exciting Matchday Four on Friday.

Only the seven group winners from the Qualifiers will progress and join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 that have already qualified: DPR Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

Bishkek: Yemen stayed perfect in Group B of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers after defeating Pakistan 5-1 on Friday.

Cambodia picked up their first win with a 5-1 victory over Guam while Kyrgyz Republic edged Laos in a 3-2 thriller.

Chonburi: Kuwait placed themselves in the driver’s seat in Group F of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers after cruising 5-0 past Maldives on Friday.

The win moved Kuwait to nine points, with their cause aided by Turkmenistan defeating Thailand  3-2 in Friday’s other tie. Kuwait lead by three points and only need to avoid defeat against Thailand on Sunday to confirm their ticket to the Finals.

Chongqing: Bangladesh and China PR are set for a blockbuster final day clash after both registered their fourth consecutive wins in Group A of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers on Friday.

Bangladesh defeated Bahrain 2-1 while China PR strolled to an 8-0 win against Sri Lanka.

Timor-Leste, meanwhile, registered their first points with a 2-0 defeat of Brunei Darussalam.

Doha: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s unwavering efforts to produce world-class referees were once again underlined with the appointment of three Asian officials to the third-place Play-off at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025.

The match, which took place yesterday, saw Italy edge Brazil on penalties following a 0-0 draw.
