The 4-0 victory over Jordan in their Group B tie not only sealed a historic knockout stage berth but also underlined Uzbekistan’s growing confidence on the continental stage, with Panov crediting his players’ commitment and their preparations.

Pathum Thani: Head coach Joakim Alexandersson came away pleased with the way India concluded their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ Group C campaign on Wednesday.

The South Asian side outplayed Chinese Taipei 3-1 to claim their first win, taking a two-goal lead in the first half through Bhumika Khumukcham and Sibani Devi before the latter closed the match by converting a penalty in the 87th minute.

The win, however, was not enough to seal a spot in the quarter-finals, with Vietnam and Uzbekistan pipping India to a place in the next round.
