Chonburi: China PR will head into a crunch tie against Myanmar determined to make amends for their Matchday One defeat to Korea Republic when Group B action at the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 resumes on Thursday.
With both China and Myanmar still seeking their first points of the campaign, second-placed Korea Republic meet table-topping Japan in the group’s other fixture – a clash between the competition’s two most successful teams.

Chonburi: Myanmar captain San Thaw Thaw has vowed her team will bounce back from their opening day defeat to defending champions Japan in Group B of the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019.
Thet Thet Win’s side held the East Asians at bay for the first 30 minutes but finally succumbed as goals from Yuzuki Yamamoto and Haruka Osawa gave Japan the advantage at half-time.
Myanmar conceded three further goals after the break to eventually lose 5-0 and find themselves at the foot of the group standings, behind third-placed China who also lost their opening encounter.

Kang struck either side of the break to ensure a winning start for Hur Jung-jae’s charges as they overcame a resilient Chinese outfit in what turned out to be an enthralling all-East Asian affair.
The result leaves the Koreans occupying second spot in the Group B standings after table-topping Japan overcame Myanmar 5-0 earlier in the day.

Yuzuki Yamamoto and Haruka Osawa gave Japan a 2-0 lead at half-time with Yamamoto, Maho Hirosawa and Sara Ito adding second half goals to complete the resounding win.
