Viet Tri: Vietnam and Yemen carved out opening victories in Group C of the AFC U23 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2026 Qualifiers on Wednesday.

Vietnam defeated Bangladesh 2-0 while Yemen edged Singapore 2-1.

Qualifiers - Group J: Korea Republic 5-0 Macau; Indonesia 0-0 Laos

Sidoarjo: Korea Republic cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win over Macau in the first Group J match of the AFC U23 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2026 Qualifiers on Wednesday.

Indonesia and Laos, meanwhile, ended their opening tie with a goalless stalemate.

Xi’an: Australia opened their AFC U23 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2026 Qualifiers Group D campaign with a resounding 14-0 win over Northern Mariana Islands on Wednesday. 

China PR, meanwhile, defeated Timor-Leste 2-1 to start their qualification bid on the front foot.

Group A: Oman 2-1 Kyrgyz Republic; Turkmenistan 1-2 Uzbekistan

Tashkent: Oman and Uzbekistan stayed on course for a place in the final of the 2025 CAFA Nations Cup after picking up wins in their respective matches in Group A on Tuesday.

Oman came from behind to defeat Kyrgyz Republic 2-1 while Uzbekistan overcame going down to 10 men to beat Turkmenistan 2-1.

The results set up titanic Matchday Three clashes with Oman to play Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to face Kyrgyz Republic. The group winners will advance to the final while the runners-up will feature in the third-place playoff.

Kuala Lumpur: It proved a fruitful week for Japan internationals Ko Itakura and Ritsu Doan, as well as Australia’s Jordan Bos and Zachary Sapsford, who all bagged their first goals for their respective clubs in key leagues across Europe.

Japan’s international midfielder Takumi Minamino also found the back of the net, striking his first Ligue 1 goal of the season and what turned out to be the match winner for Monaco.
