Chiang Mai: Saowalak Pengngam starred with a hat-trick as Thailand kicked off their AFC Women’s Asian Cup™ 2026 Qualifiers Group B campaign with a 4-0 victory over Timor-Leste on Thursday.

Thailand next face Iraq on Sunday while Timor-Leste will aim to bounce back when they take on India.

Qualifiers - Group B: Iraq 5-2 Mongolia

Chiang Mai: Iraq turned on the power to defeat Mongolia 5-2 in their AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ Qualifiers Group B match on Thursday.

With four points in the bag, the win sets Iraq up nicely for a crunch match against Thailand on Sunday with Mongolia only in action again on Wednesday when they face the group hosts.
