Kuala Lumpur: The Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024™ Asian Qualifiers Round 1 will go full throttle this week with all the groups swinging into action.

Thailand made a head start by defeating Singapore 6-0 in Group D on Saturday but there is still much to play for in the coming days.

Qualifiers Group D: Singapore 0-6 Thailand

Chonburi: Thailand kicked off their Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Round 1 campaign with a 6-0 win over Singapore on Saturday.

The Thais were simply unstoppable at the Chonburi Stadium, taking a 2-0 lead into the break before turning on the power to complete the emphatic win.

Doha: Al Hilal SFC moved within eight points of the summit with a win over Al Khaleej as the Saudi Pro League moves into the business end of the season.

UAE Pro League leaders Shabab Al Ahli Dubai were held by Al Ain in a top-of-the-table clash but still have a healthy advantage while Al Duhail continue to set the pace in Qatar.

Bell extends Korea Republic contract

Seoul: Colin Bell's contract as head coach of the Korea Republic women's national team has been extended till December 2024.

The Englishman's current deal was set to expire after the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.
 
Under the new contract, Bell will also serve as an adviser for the various women's national teams and will hold regular meetings with youth national team coaches, the Korea Football Association said in a statement.
