AFC Futsal Tutors strengthen coaching expertise at seminar

Kuala Lumpur: In a bid to further enhance the futsal ecosystem in Asia, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the five-day AFC Futsal Tutors Seminar 2025 in the Malaysian capital which concluded on Friday.

The seminar was organised to strengthen the capacity of the tutors to deliver the newly updated AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Course, further underscoring the Confederation’s resolve in providing tailored support for its Member Associations.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s determination to enhance the futsal landscape in Asia reached a significant milestone with the conclusion of the AFC Futsal Technical Workshop 2024 on Friday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The workshop, which kicked off on December 1, saw five tutors from five Member Associations (MAs) convene in the Malaysian capital city to update the existing syllabus of the AFC Futsal Level 2 Coaching Certificate Course.

Kuala Lumpur: The Football Association of Thailand (FA Thailand) has been selected as the Host Association of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ 2024 by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal & Beach Soccer Committee for the 2023 to 2027 term at its first meeting held virtually today.

After carefully reviewing the Bidding Process and Evaluation, the Committee, led by Chairperson Mehdi Taj, recommended FA Thailand as the host of the 17th edition of the competition for its stellar track record and ability to meet the best possible hosting conditions ahead of other commendable bids.

The six-day long programme saw instructors and coaches from 19 Member Associations (MAs) undergo extensive physical training while also partaking in informative classroom sessions, during the course of which, they received updates on the AFC’s latest initiatives in Futsal.

AIFF introduces Futsal for All initiative to promote the sport across India

New Delhi: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) organised the “Futsal for All” initiative, comprising fun filled activities, small-sided games and workshops, to increase participation and awareness of the sport across the country. 

Spread over several Indian states, as many as 3,415 participants, along with 314 volunteers had the opportunity to play in 5v5 games as well as join other initiatives promoting futsal.
