AFC Grassroots Football Day spreads joy across Asia – Part Two

Kuala Lumpur: A total of 42 Member Associations (MAs) joined hands to celebrate the 12th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Football Day, with more than 31,000 participants across the Continent.

The 12th edition of the annual celebration was commemorated on May 23, in alignment with FIFA’s World Football Week, enabling the AFC to further contribute to the United Nations’ Football for the Goals initiative and the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Kuala Lumpur: A total of 42 Member Associations (MAs) joined hands to celebrate the 12th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Football Day, with more than 31,000 participants across the Continent.

AFC Grassroots Charter endorses IR Iran as latest gold member

Tehran: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has endorsed the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) as the latest Member Association (MA) to achieve Gold Level membership under the AFC Grassroots Charter.

With this milestone, the AFC Grassroots Charter now includes 11 Gold Members, alongside 11 Silver and 22 Bronze MAs.

The 2025 edition of the event saw more than 31,000 participants commemorate the occasion, bringing to life the AFC’s philosophy of offering every individual, regardless of age, physical ability, or social circumstances, the opportunity to experience the power of football.

Myanmar FF’s AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze Membership renewed

Yangon: In recognition of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF)’s steady efforts in developing its landscape of grassroots football, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has extended its AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze membership.

First awarded with a Bronze membership in 2019, the MFF has, over the years, demonstrated its keenness to enhance its grassroots football programme through numerous avenues, including increased community engagement, organisation of youth competitions, and the provision of training resources for local coaches and players.
