Chinese Taipei, Timor-Leste awarded Bronze membership
Kuala Lumpur: Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) and Federacao Futebol Timor-Leste (FFTL) have been awarded the AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze membership for their dedication and promise in developing grassroots football.

CTFA’s grassroots efforts are carried out based on their CTFA Grassroots Plan, which includes a wide range of programmes and activities that focus on professional football, international activities, domestic contests, talent cultivation, promotion of local football and the building of football fields.
Hong Kong: 11,000 children stand to benefit from the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) Summer Scheme Programme, as it celebrates its 20th year.
The Summer Scheme is organised by the HKFA and is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Charities Trust with additional subvention given from LCSD for all pitch bookings. The programme provides football opportunities for children from the ages of four to 17 through a series of training sessions and friendly match-play.
Each player can enjoy 10 sessions over a five-week period with classes being held across the whole of Hong Kong. After the conclusion of the training period, youngsters have the chance to play small-sided matches against their peers in ‘Games Days’.
Korea FA awarded AFC Grassroots Charter Gold membership
Kuala Lumpur: Korea Football Association (KFA) has been awarded the AFC Grassroots Charter Gold membership for its outstanding work in grassroots football.
The Grassroots Charter is a development tool for Member Associations (MA) to raise the quality of their grassroots programmes. It identifies 20 performance categories such as grassroots competitions, structure, long-term planning and partnerships, with KFA excelling in all criteria.
The importance of grassroots development is deeply rooted in the KFA across its 17 regional and 33 local member associations where the focus on promoting and developing can be found in all levels of its football structure.
Furthermore, KFA and its respective affiliates have an extensive range of grassroots activities, which include some affiliated schools, clubs and amateur bodies, football for the disabled, children, youth, veterans, futsal and social programmes.
2019 AFC Grassroots Football Day continues to raise the bar

The Afghanistan Football Federation coordinated a large scale Grassroots Festival which saw the participation of 154 children and 24 coaches on May 15 in Kabul.
The main objective behind the initiative was to share the love of football and assist the establishment of the U-12 league as well as the U-12 national team.
The children were divided into age groups and were taught the meaning of fair play, while the coaches were trained on how to deliver Grassroots instructions.

The Bhutan Football Federation saw an increase in participation with every passing celebration of the AFC Grassroots Football Day, and 2019 was no different as the festival took place in 19 districts in the South Asian country.
The larger community has also seen the positive changes and opportunities the festival has to offer, putting their trust in the Bhutan FF to look after a grand total of 2,025 boys, girls, special needs children and volunteers, who all learned important messages of fun, play, friendship and respect.
