Group C: Kaya FC-Iloilo (PHI) 0-7 Melbourne City FC (AUS)

Qarshi: Melbourne City FC found their stride in the second-half to hand Kaya FC-Iloilo a resounding 7-0 defeat in AFC Women's Champions League Elite 2026/2027™ Group C tie on Wednesday.  

Kelli McGroarty, Melina Ayres and Cortnee Vine all starred with braces as Michael Matricciani’s side netted all their goals after the break to keep their hopes of a quarter-final slot alive, while Kaya are out of the running after falling to a second defeat.

Yangon: Defending champions Naegohyang Women’s FC closed in on the quarter-finals after cruising 6-1 past BAM Khatoon FC in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27 Group A tie on Wednesday.

Kim Song Ok and Ri Kum Hyang set the early tone going into the break as the DPR Korea side powered through the second half with further goals to seal the convincing victory.

Yangon: INAC Kobe Leonessa confirmed their quarter-final berth after defeating Ayeyawady FC - Women 2-0 in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27 Group A tie on Wednesday.

The Japanese side made it two wins out of two with goals from Azumi Manriki and Chisato Minowa sealing the victory, with defending champions Naegohyang Women’s FC also through to the next stage from the group.

Kolkata: 4.25 SC booked their berth in the knockout stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ after picking up a 6-0 win against Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC in their Group B tie on Wednesday.

Kim Kwang Min’s side have six points from two matches and are assured of a top two finish in the group regardless of what happens in the remaining games.

Buriram: Kashima Antlers dropped their first points in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27™ on Wednesday as the J1 League side were held to a 0-0 draw by hosts Buriram United.

Head coach Toru Oniki started with an unfamiliar line-up and the 2018 title winners were unable to secure their fourth win in a row in the current edition against a Buriram United side that picked up their third draw in four matches.

The result sees Kashima move onto 10 points to sit two points behind compatriots Vissel Kobe in second place in the 16-team standings while Buriram United, under new head coach Raul Caneda, are 12th on three points.

Pohang: Kim Gwang-kon scored a minute from time as FC Pohang Steelers picked up their first point of the AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27™ league phase on Wednesday with a dramatic 3-3 draw with Gamba Osaka.

The substitute pounced from close range at the end of a pulsating second half to frustrate the J1 League outfit, who had looked set to take all three points when Kohshiro Sumi struck with 11 minutes remaining.

Sumi scored after the visitors were twice pegged back by Pohang with Ryotaro Meshino’s 34th minute opener cancelled out by Wanderson in the 55th minute while Eli Adams’ 69th minute free-kick was followed by Jorge Teixeira’s finish eight minutes later.

The result moves Gamba onto eight points from their four matches while Pohang avoided defeat in the competition for the first time.
