Head coach Nova Arianto’s side qualified for the knockout stage after defeating Korea Republic 1-0 and Yemen 4-1 while Afghanistan will be playing for pride after losing 2-0 to Yemen and 6-0 to Korea Republic.

Preview - Group C: Korea Republic v Yemen

Jeddah: Korea Republic and Yemen will both be determined to start on the front foot in their final Group C clash at the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 on Thursday.

Both teams are on three points and will vie for the second quarter-final spot in their group, with Korea Republic having an edge in terms of goal difference. 

The East Asian side opened their campaign with a 1-0 loss to Indonesia but then picked themselves up to cruise 6-0 past Afghanistan. Yemen took the opposite route, beating Afghanistan 2-0 before crashing 4-1 against Indonesia, whose two wins assured them of a quarter-final spot as well as ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025.

Jeddah: Oman came from behind twice to defeat Islamic Republic of Iran 3-2 in their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 Group D clash at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium on Tuesday.

Ahmed Al’Amrani emerged Oman’s hero, netting twice with the winner coming in the 89th minute to give his side their first three points, leaving Iran bottom of the group with a solitary point. 

Oman will still need a result in their final group game against DPR Korea to reach the knockout round and book a ticket at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, while Iran will meet Tajikistan, who fell to a 3-0 defeat against the East Asians in the earlier tie on Tuesday.

Jeddah: DPR Korea outplayed Tajikistan for a deserved 3-0 win in their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 tie at the King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium on Tuesday.

The result left Group D wide open, with the two-time champions now on four points while Tajikistan remained on three, with their matches on Friday against Oman and Islamic Republic of Iran respectively to determine the two teams going into the knockout stage.
