Group C: Chinese Taipei 0-2 Japan

Thammasat:  Japan eased to a 2-0 victory over Chinese Taipei in their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ Group C tie at the Thammasat Stadium on Sunday.

The six-time champions sealed their ticket to the knockout stage with the victory and will meet Australia to decide the top spot on Wednesday. Chinese Taipei, despite suffering two consecutive defeats, still have a chance of progressing but will have to beat India in their concluding tie.

Pathum Thani: Australia moved into the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ quarter-finals following a 5-0 victory over India in Group C at the Pathum Thani Stadium on Sunday.

A hat-trick from Skye Hamarick and further strikes from Danella Brutus and Daisy Brown saw the Alexander Epakis’ side notch their second straight win, with their meeting with Japan on Wednesday to decide the group winners.

India still have a chance to progress despite two defeats but will have to beat Chinese Taipei.

Pathum Thani: DPR Korea took a step closer towards defending their title with a 6-0 win against Uzbekistan in their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ Group B encounter at the Pathum Thani Stadium on Sunday.

With two straight wins, the East Asian side confirmed their quarter-final spot with a match to spare and will look to finish their group stage outing with victory against Korea Republic on Wednesday, while Uzbekistan will need victory against Jordan to stand a chance of advancing.

Nonthaburi: Korea Republic confirmed their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ knockout stage spot with a 2-1 win against Jordan in their Group B match at the Nonthaburi Stadium on Sunday.

The two-time champions, having notched consecutive wins, will face DPR Korea to decide the group winners on Wednesday. Despite their second loss, Jordan can still hope to make the knockout stage cut but will have to beat Uzbekistan in their final tie to stand a chance.

Thammasat: Thailand’s win over Vietnam in Saturday’s Group A tie ensured their place in the knockout stage of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ for only the second time in history.

Thailand had to come from behind to defeat Bangladesh 3-2 in their opening match, before emerging 4-1 victors against Vietnam, with much of the success the hosts have enjoyed so far owed to captain Rinayaphat Moondong, who has scored thrice in the two matches.
