Victorious China PR squad return home

Suzhou: AFC Women's Asian Cup India 2022™ champions China PR returned home on Monday following their amazing comeback win in the final at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

Down 2-0 at half-time, China PR produced a magnificent fightback to defeat Korea Republic 3-2 in an epic final.

Shui's half-time pep talk inspires China PR to historic victory

Navi Mumbai: An inspiring team talk from head coach Shui Qingxia did the job as China PR  came from two goals down to edge Korea Republic 3-2 in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022™ final on Sunday. 

Shui’s side trailed 2-0 at half-time after Choe Yu-ri and Ji So-yun had put Korea Republic ahead. However, China PR scored three goals in the second half courtesy of Tang Jiali,  Zhang Linyan and Xiao Yuyi to seal the thrilling win.

Navi Mumbai: Vietnam head coach Mai Duc Chung praised his players for booking a place in the FIFA Women's World Cup for the first time after their 2-1 victory against Chinese Taipei at the D.Y. Patil Stadium on Sunday.

Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy was the hero for Vietnam, scoring the winner after Su Hy-Ysuan had cancelled out Chuong Thi Kieu's first half opener.
